All Eyes on DC's ‘New 52' Relaunch
USA Today looks at “The New 52”, DC Comics ambitious plan to relaunch, renumber all series to #1, and in some cases, redesign the classic costumes of its many iconic, indeed often historic, superhero comics. The first issues will be available August 31 and DC and many stores are planning midnight events to hype the relaunch.

Comixology Retailer Plan Goes Live
Digital comics vendor Comixology has partnered with pop culture trade news site ICv2.com to launch a digital initiative that will allow physical comics shops to sell digital comics downloads and receive a portion of the sale price. Over 100 physical comics shops have signed up for the Retailer Digital Storefront program.

Grant Morrison Speaks
Superstar comics writer Grant Morrison (The Invisibles, WE3, The Filth, Arkham Asylum) on tour to promote, Supergods (Spiegel & Grau), a nonfiction collection on the history and power of superhero comics, talks about the relaunch of the DC Universe and the state of the comics market today. He also has a few choice words for Chris Ware, the “Comics Journal guys” and the rest of the nonsuperhero comic book world.
